DTF Apparel Care Guide

DTF prints are built for bold color, stretch, and durability. Proper care protects adhesion and keeps your garment looking sharp for the long haul.

Cold Wash Inside out
Low Heat Or hang dry
No Bleach No softener

Washing

  • Turn inside out
    Protects the print surface.
  • Cold water
    Best for adhesion longevity.
  • Mild detergent
Less chemical stress on print bond.
  • Hot wash
Heat accelerates wear and edge lift.
  • Bleach / bleach alt.
    Breaks down film + adhesive.
  • Fabric softener
    Can reduce durability over time.

Drying

  • Hang dry (best)
    Maximum print lifespan.
  • Tumble low
    Only when needed.
  • High heat
    Causes cracking / glossing.
  • Over-drying
Extra heat time = faster breakdown.

Ironing & Heat

  • Iron inside out
    Low heat only.
  • Use a barrier cloth
    Between heat and garment.
  • Do not iron on print
    Direct heat can melt film.
  • No steam on print
    Moist heat accelerates failure.

Storage

  • Fold flat
    Don’t crease across the print.
  • Cool, dry area
    Avoid heat sources and humidity.
  • No heavy pressure
Don’t stack heavy items on prints.

FAQs

Will the print feel softer over time?

Yes — slight softening is normal as the garment breaks in. Color and adhesion remain strong when washed cold and dried low/air.

What causes cracking or peeling?

Almost always heat + harsh chemicals: hot wash, high dryer heat, ironing directly on the print, bleach, or softeners.

Can I use stain remover?

Yes, but don’t apply it directly onto the print. Treat the fabric area, and avoid harsh solvents near the image.

Does commercial laundering affect DTF?

Yes. Industrial heat cycles and chemicals reduce print lifespan faster than home care.

Produced with professional-grade DTF materials and calibrated press standards. Proper care ensures your garment performs as intended.
